He wrote, a�?There was no power at my residence when I got back home from a tiring day! Irked by the situation, I ringed to BESCOM helpline number 1912. a�?Hello Sir, Welcome to BESCOM 1912 service, how may I help you said a voicea�?, however, I was so frustrated I barely listened to what the telecaller said and started blasting her about the power cut.
a�?I was surprised to receive a call back from the BESCOM Customer Care in just 10 minutes after registering the complaint against the power cut. Thus, I am writing this letter to Mr. DK Shivakumar for his excellent work as Energy Minister. Thank you, Sir, because of you my family had a peaceful sleepa�? wrote Mr. Ashok, an employee of a private company in Bangalore.
Resolving the power cut was a critical issue in the recent times. Though BESCOM had 1912 helpline services earlier, it was not intense in reaching to the queries of the public. Due to this, BESCOM helpline had also come under major criticism in May 2017.
Acknowledging that there were problems with the helpline DK Shivakumar said, a�?Our helpline has 30 lines. But, during the rainy days, we have received about 20,000 phone calls while we could take only 11,000 calls. Henceforth, observing the anxiety of the people, DKS directed BESCOM to add 15 more helplines immediately.
Not just 1912 helpline numbers, DKS has also came up with mobile helpline numbers for each division- East, West, North, and South where the public can lodge their complaints against power cut in their respective locality which will resolve on an immediate basis.
DKS has always been answerable to peoplea��s grievances directly or indirectly when it comes to the power cut in Silicon City. So, what are we still thinking for? Leta��s be thankful to DKS for collaborating with Keonics (Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited) and revamping the BESCOM 1912 helpline service to respond to consumera��s grievances in quick time. \
